Submitting Data Files to Tri-Media

Tri-Media accepts files in the formats listed below. Our preferred method to receive files is via our inter upload site at www.trimediadata.com. To secure a user name and password please contact our Data Services personnel at 800-874-4062 ext 5.

IBM PC or MAC compatible (Zip Disk, 3.5" Floppy, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, USB Drive)

Formats

ASCII Fixed Field
All Records contain the same number of fields, and each field maintains a constant length through the file. Records are all the same length and seperated by a carriage return and line feed

ASCII Comma Delimited
All records contain the same number of fields. Character fields delineated by ASCII character("); numeric fields not delineated. Fields separated by ASCII character (,). Record lengths vary since field lengths vary.

ASCII Tab Delimited
All records contain the same number of fields. Character fields delineated by ASCII character("); numeric fields not delineated. Fields separated by ASCII character (TAB). Record lengths vary since field lengths vary.

DBASE Database
Standard database format produced by DBASE, FoxPro, Alpha Four, Enable, Excel Worksheet, Microsoft Access and other programs.

Excel Spreadsheet
Standard spreadsheet format produced by any version of Microsoft Excel.
