Merge Purge
Any Tri-Media List is Rented with Net Names when Tri-Media Handles the Merge
The two most common methods of the Merge-Purge process are Address Deduping and Name Deduping. Address deduping is the most common, and removes duplicates based on zip code and address. This allows only one piece to mail to each address. Name deduping removes duplicates based on zip code, address and name. This allows multiple mailings to the same address only if the name is different. Examples of both methods are shown below.
Address de-duping
|
Record 1 |
Record 2 |
Based on zip code and address matching, Record 2 would be dropped.
Name de-deuping
|
Record 1 |
Record 2 |
Record 3 |
Based on zip code and address matching, and the difference in names, both Record 1 and Record 2 would be included. Record 3 would be dropped based on zip code, address and last name matching.
Once the merge process is approved, Tri-Media provides the list in the Output Format of your choice. We can also provide presorted/barcoded labels with bag tags, CASS certification, and all necessary USPS documentation to give you the highest possible savings in postage costs.
"We've appreciated Tri-Media's prompt work ... we appreciate knowing that our data is secure with them, and that they have not used our data to their own interests, but have worked with us to accomplish our goals. They have been able to dedupe rented names from our private list without compromising our list's security."
